European Symposium of Biomaterials
in Orthopedics and Spine

We are fortunate to live in the golden era of technology development that redefines every aspect of our lives, with medicine being no exception.

Specifically, advancements in biotechnology have an ever-increasing impact on orthopedics and traumatology, thus allowing our patients to recover faster. However, the multitude of biotechnological solutions available for a single problem is frequently of unremarkable value within the situation of clinical practice.

Therefore, now more than ever, is the time to recognize that the plethora of biotechnological alternatives, including: the variety of techniques in practice, biocompatibility and biochemical/biophysical properties of grafts, their osteoconductance and osteoinduction issues; are all indicative of the requirement for systemization.

I have the upmost pleasure to inform you that during the period of the 16-18th of April 2015, the First European Congress on Biomaterials in Orthopedics and Spine will be organized in Poznań, Poland, in association with the “Biomaterials in Orthopedics” journal and its associates.

This symposium aims to advance knowledge of biomaterials technology and it’s use on the field of Orthopaedic and Spine Surgery among surgeons and health-care professionals from Western, Northern as well as Central and Eastern Europe countries. This symposium will provide excellent opportunity to learn and discuss latest scientific findings, clinical results and practical aspect of biomaterials followed by case studies and workshops.

We also hope that the place of conference – Poznań – the historical center of the Kingdom of Poland and today one of the largest Polish centers of trade, industry, sports, education, technology, tourism, culture and sharing the science and philosophical thoughts will make it easier to foster discussions.
